ERDF Internationalisation Grant Scheme

This is the fourth ERDF scheme for SMEs launched this year by the Parliamentary Secretariat for the EU Presidency 2017 and EU Funds. This Scheme is managed through an open rolling call with the first cut-off date set for 31st January 2017. Grants shall be awarded to eligible applications scoring at least 50% of the selection criteria, on a first-come-first served basis subject to budget availability.

Key characteristics:

Overall Scheme BUDGET of € 2,000,000, with indicative annual thresholds of € 400,000.

MAXIMUM GRANT capped at €10,000, PART-FINANCING 50% of the eligible costs.

TARGET GROUP: Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

ELIGIBLE ACTIONS

Active participation in International Business Promotion Fairs held outside the territory of the Republic of Malta where active participation means having a stand and exhibiting products/services at the fair.

The scheme supports SMEs actively participating in International Business Promotion Fairs, by covering part of the costs required to set-up and run a stand to exhibit their products/services, by covering a number of costs items including travel costs and per diem for up to 2 employees/directors of the Enterprise up to fixed thresholds.
