We are very glad to have our Managing Consultant, Ms. Anamaria Magri Pantea, invited to contribute to two events organised part of Dubai Expo 2020.
On 23rd October 2021, Anamaria will moderate a panel discussion on the role of innovation in economic acceleration, diversification and first and foremost recovery post COVID-19 pandemic. This discussion will be part of the 5th EU – GCC Business Forum being organised in the framework of the EU-GCC Dialogue for Economic Diversification, an EU funded project.
The 5th EU-GCC Business Forum offers significant opportunities for cross-cutting networking and identification of opportunities to engage in the ongoing diversification strategies and the corresponding projects underpinning them, in particular in key economic sectors where representatives from the GCC & EU will present ongoing initiatives and planned investments.
In the following day, on the 24th October 2021, Anamaria was also invited as facilitator of the practical workshop organised part of the conference “Women’s path to Ikigai – Technology, Entrepreneurship, Self-Development and Agility“. This event is aimed to showcase the issue of female entrepreneurship, particularly in the technology sector.
Based on the experience of European women tech leaders, the event will identify the broader commercial and personal factors that can lead to the establishment and development of successful businesses by women entrepreneurs in the GCC. The key message of the workshop is to demonstrate the link between the 4th Industrial Revolution and the role of digitalization as an opportunity for women´s increased involvement in STE(A)M entrepreneurship, leading to enhanced economic growth. At a deeper level, the event will utilise the Japanese concept of ‘Ikigai’ as a central theme in exploring the personal motivation of event participants in starting and establishing tech businesses. Ikigai (生き甲斐 “a reason for being”) is a Japanese concept referring to having a direction or purpose in life and providing a sense of fulfilment.
Organised by the EU-GCC Dialogue for Economic Diversification Project, and the European Centre for Women and Technology, this conference will offer an immersive and interactive experience to understand why Ikigai and Innovation for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Sustainability (DEIS) are key to success in developing the next generation of women founders.
If you will be in Dubai on 23rd and 24th October, join in for these events and stop to have a chat with Anamaria. She is always glad to explore collaboration opportunities in driving further innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as women’s participation in STEM.
